I finally finished my scarf! It took me a while to finish binding off since the steps were kind of confusing on the website. I found that I had trouble following placement of the yarn on the needles. I also posted a picture of my completed scarf on Knittinghelp.com’s forum under What'cha Knittin'? I was not sure if I was going to get a reply because I did not use a pattern and my complete project was pretty simple. Almost a day later I have five replies! Most of the replies were congratulating me on completing on my first project and Artlady1981 welcomed me to the knitting world! I enjoy using this website for knitting ideas for future projects, getting my questions answered, and browsing what others have to say about knitting. For the most part, users reply fairly quickly with answers to questions or comments. I think I will continue using this website despite being done with the project.

Wow! Congratulations on finishing the scarf. I think it would be so hard to learn a new craft from an online forum, but it seems so easy based on your experience. I've often thought about taking up knitting but don't have the time. You would think so many people wouldn't have a lot to say about knitting, but clearly they do. It really makes you realize that the Internet is such an amazing resource of collective intelligence sometimes.
