Mypsace

I decided to look at 15 Mypsace profiles. I noticed the homescreen had changed dramatically since I had last logged in several years ago. I hit the "people" tab at the top of the screen to go through random people's profiles. After going through several pages I saw similar things. Backgrounds were very bright and flashy. Alot of the backgrounds made me not want to look at the person's page because it was so intense. Most profile pictures were of the person alone and not with any other people. I also noticed most of the pictures were either emo or provacative. It also seemed to be mostly young girls trying to show off or appeal to other people. There was music featured on some people's pages, which I thought was kind of annoying. The site just didn't feel as professional as Facebook.

I think it's a good website to promote bands or artists. It's an easy way for people to look them up and listen to previews of their music for free. However, I didn't like the atmosphere of it. I think it seemed creepy and unappealing. I used Myspace back when Facebook was only for college use and I will never use Myspace again. I thought it was cluttered and annoying to look through.
