Hey! I found this clip on the 'History of the Internet' very interesting. The video discussed how the internet can work in technical terms. In the early internet, there were many bugs which made dealing with the internet unpractical, which caused the development of new methods to further internet productivity. The main goal was to make it possible to share information between multiple users. This concept is known as time sharing. I also found it interesting that the Cuban Missile Crisis played a role in the development of the internet where the US became aware that the missiles had the capacity to reach US soil. Therefore, they developed a way that even if a node was compromised, information could still be shared.
It is easy today to go on the internet and find information, but many users, I believe, do not think about how it is even possible for this information to be shared so quickly and easily. The internet has really changed the way we live our lives today. An example from the video involves the phone company, and how customers of these phone line sharing services now charge a monthly fee for those services. I thought the video was very well done, and really gave a lot of information explaining how the internet was able to be developed.
