Hours played 9:30-12:30
So I recently found that I needed to get to an experience level of 13 to unlock my combat record which will show my wins/losses, kill ratio, etc. I figured that this would be a good place to stop before my presentation because it will provide more information about my avatar. Also, I figured out at the beginning of my gameplay session that those COD points I kept getting were for buying new things and customizing my gear. So I went on a little bit of a shopping spree, buying a red-dot sight for my gun, different types of grenades, different attributes such as longing sprinting abilities, etc. After I did to these upgrades, my performance level greatly increased. I killed atleast 3 more people per game and died about 3 times less. So, my conclusion is that those players who play longer will become so good that it will be almost impossible for new comers to be successful. Therefore increasing the gap between the players on the network.
Because I have gotten to higher levels, I have unlocked different guns and power ups, my ranking went up from a private to a sergeant, and I am able to make my clan tag and tab more customizable. Most of these players already have these things, which shows their identity as "Gamers" who live and play in this world. Most are at a level I will never be at, nor do I want to be at.
It is interesting though because I came across another set of players who must "be on a team," because they all had the same image on their clan tag, they all talked to one another over the system, and all sounded like friends engaged in good conversation. This leads me to believe that they are taking their offline activity and community and bringing it online into a different sphere. I, on the other hand, just added my first friend: crazyturtleman's. Maybe one day he and I will be on the same side, but I have yet to play a game with him.
