Practicum Post #2- Julie MacGuidwin

Who to follow? That's what I'm wondering. Who are you supposed to follow on Twitter? I've started following my friends (boring, they don't even update), some celebrities (only interesting if you care about everything they are doing), and I've even started following some random Twitter users (can't imagine why it's fun to know what strangers are up to!) So far, the only people I've really enjoyed "following" are the celebs I like. But even their posts are boring...

I can't wait for Lam Lam to come home

I'm not sure if I'm supposed to feel more connected to Khloe after seeing that, or be entertained, but I was neither!

What I'm really interested in is seeing if there is any opportunity to network on Twitter. I think so far I've noticed it depends who you are trying to communicate with. I've got through to some random people through @ replies and messages, but chances are if the "tweeter" is anyone significant, they will not tweet you back and there is no way to directly message them. So what kind of communication is Twitter good for?
