Hey everyone,I'm a junior majoring in journalism and communication arts. I've wanted to be a sports writer for as long as I can remember, so this class fits pretty well with that. I work at The Badger Herald as Sports Content Editor covering football and men's basketball, so that keeps me pretty busy.
Outside of that, I'm from Goldens Bridge, NY, which is also in Westchester County about an hour north of the city. I'm a diehard Giants and Yankees fan, but I definitely love everything about the Badgers and UW. I love music, and I'll listen to pretty much anything except country. I'm big on classic rock, especially the Stones, Beatles and Led Zeppelin, and for modern music, I love the Black Keys. I also listen to a lot of Kanye West, Jay-Z, etc.
I'm definitely looking forward to this class; it doesn't sound like any other I've taken so far. I'm hoping the practicum project will open my eyes to new stuff on the Internet, and I hope what I learn carries over not only to my career goals but also my personal life.
