On April 28th, Grace created a thread to check up on the members that were living in the areas where tornadoes had hit. Several people posted back, most saying that everything was alright.
Grace actually lives in Tornado Alley, so she thought it was interesting that nothing happened to them.
Karen said that another member, Jan, had created a Facebook group to check up on everyone. She said that most were alright. Someone who ran a day care center said that one of the kids who attends was missing. Also, another member's family had some injuries and had lost their homes.
The group certainly shows how much they care for one another with actions like this. It is interesting how this group can care so much for people they have never met and only swapped parenting advice with.
The Internet certainly gives them a chance to reach out and check on one another. Without it, these close friends may have never known how the other was doing.
