I was very happy to see how quickly wikipedia found my mistake. To my surprise it was actually a fellow member of wikipedia who hold the title of "newpage patroller." Like it sounds, he makes sure newpages are set up correctly. Personally, I find it pretty amazing that people volunteer to patrol new pages. There are actually many groups and different ways to communicate with other users. For example, my patroller-T3chl0v3r is also part of the welcoming committee. Unfortunately, I never got welcomed by any of my former wikipedia members.

Practicum Post 3
So today I checked my wikipedia account and found out that I was in trouble.... Well, not really but I didn't follow their rules. The message read, "Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to Jerry Hollendorfer, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability." I would like to say that I did not put sources in the article because I wasn't done with the article but that is not the case. I will admit that I would have completely forgotten to put in sources even if I finished. I am well aware of wikipedia's use of sources since I use the site almost everyday. I even use wikipedia sources for papers but it didn't come across my mind to site since I was typing factual information. For example, in a paper i would not cite that the yankees have won 27 world series.
