Blog #3- ChatRoulette

Well that was an interesting experience. I had never heard of this website called ChatRoulette until yesterday. I don't know, maybe I live under some kind of rock or something because all of my roommates had. However, I don't think I was missing out on anything spectacular. I was freaking out when I first loaded the website last night around 7. I was so weirded out thought that I did not allow fellow web-surfers the opportunity to view me, but I did spend some time scrolling through the available people. It was interesting just seeing these extremely random and varied type of people sitting in their homes. I was extremely grossed out by the disgusting people that were doing things that they should not be doing in such a public place. That first experience was shocking to say the least. On another note, this mention of public indecency is something that younger kids should not be exposed to. When scrolling through, I came across two younger teenagers who were playing music on a guitar. I did not like thinking that they could be seeing the same things that I was shown.

This type of communication is definitely not something I am interested in at all. I was way too scared to strike up a conversation with someone from God only knows where. I think the fact that I was so creeped out by it would make me conclude that the people who use it regularly are creepy people. This is a stigma that I just couldn't get over in order to enjoy it!
