History of the Internet-Blog Assignmnet 2

The youtube video History of the Internet was well-narrated and animated, providing a very concise but thorough chronology of the Internet. However, because of my complete ineptitude for science and anything technological, I will sadly have to admit that a good part of the information still went over my head. Of what I could follow, it seems like the Internet has certainly evolved from a small network only useful for one or two specific groups of people and their tasks into an incredible source of information and communication that many people need and use. I did like learning how the very beginning idea of the Internet came about, but the modern evolution of the Internet (post-1990) was not shown in the video, and I would have liked to have learned something about that. The Internet has basically involved into a necessity; with email, bill paying, shopping, social networking, and any other service, the Internet is essential to daily communication.
