I have never actually used Hulu before. The main difference is obviously that YouTube is user generated content and lacks the professionalism that Hulu obtains. I watched Desperate Housewives on Hulu and tried to watch the same episode on YouTube, but you only get clips of it. Another difference is that YouTube provides you with other clips you may want to watch that are similar to the video you are viewing. YouTube gave me interviews with some of the Desperate Housewives' stars as well as other related content. I went to the main YouTube page and just looked at some of the videos featured. Most of them are pretty bad and have no purpose, where as Hulu provides you with things you actually want to watch. However, I do use YouTube on a regular basis and can end up wasting a lot of time watching random videos.
