Blog Post #5-Plants vs. Zombies

So I will admit that Plants Vs. Zombies is STILL up on my computer 2 and a half hours after I started playing. I plan to play more after I'm done writing this, as embarassing as that is to admit.
I love PopCap gmaes, from Bookworm, Bejeweled, Zuma to even the lame Typershark they made us play in middle school. I haven't played any of the games since avoiding homework in the library during high school, but now I remember how addicting online gaming can be.
I have never played any MMRPOGs but I could understand how fun and addicting they could be for someone who is interested in them. Personally, I never thought any of the concepts seemed very fun.
I do think that the time-wasting ability of games like these can pose a problem. It certinaly makes sense how the whole technopanic of Internet addicition becomes characterized. Although I usually think things like that are very irrational, I understand how online games can become a kind of addiction. I remember reading a few years back about Japan opening up one of the first rehab centers for video game addiction. I do think that on some psychological level games like these could become somewhat addicting.
Well, they are certainly a lot of fun. And I fully plan to for go most of my evening of needed studying to this stupid little computer game. Now, back to fighting the zombies!
