Practicum Post 5

Well I'm up to 10 friends and my profile has been viewed 163 times. Since joining the Daily Humor group, I've met a few different people. The humor is funny in a way where I know what they're trying to do is funny, but it just isn't laugh out loud type of funny. Recently, some people on the group have been up to a small competition. The goal is to make the funniest banner. Marvin, the manager of the group, was the one who proposed this competition, and there have been about 6 submissions so far, and this only started a few days ago. The humor site has a lot of comics posted, along with some reminiscing. There is one group called Mrs. Jones' class, and the one joke I found funny was this...."there are two words I will never allow in my class.....One is gross and the other is cool." Obviously you wouldn't think those would be the two words, so I thought it was funny.

Last time, I was talking about the other sites which seniors might not be on yet, and I found out that this was mostly true. Everyone I talked to did not have a Twitter account, however all of my friends knew what it was. I'd say that Eons is the perfect niche for these seniors, and they get to experience the internet and all it has to offer. They can talk to each other about pretty much anything, and be able to connect with people their own age. But, I would say that Eons serves as a sort of safety net, where the bigger spaces like Facebook and Twitter, wouldn't work so well for them due to size and variety of spaces to converse. I've found that they truly are happy on Eons, and wouldn't want to change it for the world.

See everyone in discussion tomorrow!
