Blog Post 6

For my youtube clip, I watched the Lonely Island music video "I just had sex." This video has been viewed over 79,000,000 times. As it pertains to copyright laws, I am pretty sure that they released it on youtube, because that is where they started their careers. Youtube doesnt have any restrictions and anyone can add anything at anytime so it does raise questions of copyright laws, especially when it comes to music videos and clips from television. I'm actually looking forward to class to see how youtube is able to legitimately air all of there videos.

For Hulu, I watched a clip that was from Jimmy Kimmel where he talked about Charlie Sheen and his catchphrases and how Charlie wants to get them trademarked. Hulu is a much more legitimate website than youtube in my opinion because networks allow Hulu to exist and play their episodes. Even if you browse through their movie selection, you will see that certain network movies are allowed, such as movies from the Lifetime network. So essentially, the movies are all terrible.
