Practicum post 2

So I've officially had a vimeo account for a few days now! I've really enjoyed browsing the various groups and channels it has to offer. I've seen a bunch of short films, a few homemade (just for the fun of it) films and also quite a few incredible movies created on iphones. I am also in the process of uploading my first video to my profile and can't wait to see how it looks on the site. The video consists of some footage I took of frozen Lake Mendota a few weeks ago. It's not a film with a narrative or anything to that extent, but I felt like it was a good first video to upload because it's relatively short and simple. The only annoying thing is that if you don't have a paid account at vimeo it takes a little while to get your video approved and running on the site. Once it's up I will post the link so everyone can get a feel for what a video on vimeo looks like. Besides that I've been trying to immerse myself as much as possible in the community. So far its been going ok. Hopefully I'll be able to post the link to my video tomorrow and will also include some questions I'll be interested in discussing after my presentation on tuesday.
