Blog Post 4- Googling Myself

Definitely not the first time I've googled myself (is that weird?!) Anyway, I remember starting to google myself when I first started applying for jobs. If I was hiring someone, that'd be the first thing I would do. The first thing that came up in Google was my LinkedIn profile. The second was my "style guru bio" for a website I used to blog for called College Fashionista. The third was another post from College Fashionista. Fourth wasn't a link to my facebook page exactly... instead, it was a link to a post from October of 2006 on a group called "Boy Meets World, Best Show Ever." Random.... 5th down is something called "Who's Your Daddy" which sounds way worse than it is. My dad runs a website for his high school class (Brother Rice in Michigan), and they had a contest of kids pics and others had to guess who the dad was. I've told my dad to make that NOT show up when I google myself because it sounds so much weirder than it is!!

Next on the list is a post from yasni.com (never heard of it) saying that Karly Klagos (a girl I went to high school with) is connected to me. 7th down is mylife.com, which I've never been to. Same with the next one. There's a link to the blog on here! and Lastly on the first page of google is my picasa web album. On the second page there are more blogs from this class, some more mylife stuff, and some other blog posts I've written. On the third page there are STILL direct links to pages, blogs, or articles I've personally written. I got tired of looking after this.

I think this is different than what it's looked like when I googled myself before. First of all, my twitter and facebook don't show up. Maybe this has to do with my privacy settings? I've seen those random "mylife" websites and think that they just pay to be up on peoples google searches to get traffic. Other than that, all seemed about right! I'd expect things I post on the Internet to be searchable and I'm not surprised one bit that they are!
