Hi, my name is Emily Connor, and I am a sophomore studying Journalism, Political Science, and Women's Studies from Plymouth, WI. I am very excited to take this course to learn more about the Internet and online media because it is something I know little about. I hope that the information learned here will make me a more knowledgeable student in my fields of study. I work at the Memorial Union in the Central Reservations office as an Event Manager, and I also intern at Representative Peter Baraca's office in the Capitol. As much as I love Journalism and Political Science, I also have a strong desire to attend law school after undergraduate school.
As I said before, I really don't know much about the Internet and, as such, don't use it to it's full potential. Aside from checking my email, I primarily use the Internet to browse clothing websites and go shopping. My favorite sites are modcloth.com, shopstyle.com, zappos.com, Gap, J. crew, Anthropologie, and Banana Republic. I do check online news everyday, however, and Huffingtonpost.com and NYtimes.com are my favorite sites. When I do have free time, I love watching movies and new television series, shopping, going out to eat, playing Super Nintendo, and just relaxing at home.
